The Problem of AC Short Cycling

AC short cycling occurs when your system shuts on and off rapidly. It’s a relatively common issue, but it’s also a problem that can affect how long your system lasts and how well it performs. Malfunctioning Thermostats

A broken thermostat can often be the cause of short cycling. Thermostats that can’t accurately read the temperature in a room will cause your HVAC system to go haywire. However, it doesn’t have to be broken to act like this. 


Thermostats in precarious places, like those in direct sunlight or by a drafty window, might signal the AC to turn on and off prematurely. This can often be an easy fix or mitigated by investing in a new smart thermostat.


Clogged Filters
